Introducing: Quarx

What are Quarx?

Assemble these tetrahedral building blocks into any shape you desire.

The assembled arrays are unusually strong, mimicking the network structure of graphene  or diamond.

Because of their spherical truncation, Quarx can rotate freely to take on a variety of dynamic, curved shapes.

The subunits bind magnetically with a pleasant, but strong “click.”

Specifications:

Quarx are made from precision molded solid styrene.

Each tetrahedral brick is 2.000 cm tall and weighs about the same as a quarter.

What makes Quarx Unique?

We First Took

The tetrahedron—the simplest platonic Solid.

Then Combined With

The sphere, with its ability to rotate freely in any direction—something not possible with traditional building blocks.

Together

These two features create a modeling subunit which can be assembled into a variety of extremely stable, yet dynamic structures.
